How do you buy cheap flowers in China?
The world’s largest supplier of fresh flowers, which are also known as bao bao, has been shut down by authorities in China for a decade.
In 2015, the US embassy in Beijing informed the Chinese government that the Chinese company that supplies the flowers had been shuttered due to the “high levels of counterfeit flower imports.”
China has a long history of cracking down on counterfeit flowers, but it’s the first time that it has shut down the company that makes the flowers.
The Chinese authorities shut down flower companies that sell fake flowers in the country, but also found other ways to target the country’s flower-selling consumers.
The crackdown has hit the country hard.
Many flower sellers, who are unable to sell the genuine products, have started selling fake flowers, including bao bouquets.
According to a report by Al Jazeera, the flower-producing areas in China’s provinces of Hubei and Shaanxi have become extremely crowded with thousands of people working to meet demand.
The report also found that people were purchasing fake flowers at inflated prices.
The government has said that it was determined to fight against the spread of counterfeit flowers in order to protect the health and welfare of citizens.
